“Stay Consistent & Committed and you can achieve your goals. Never Give Up!” Kelly Rowland
I loved that Kelly Rowland talked about working out is not about your body “looking good” but more about her body being healthy and strong especially since she has a son now. She needs to be in good health to chase after him and to live a long healthy life. She also talked about the balance of healthy eating and lifestyle and also indulging every now and again. I loved that she spoke about owning the holidays…she ate the pie she wanted, she ate the stuffing. I think it is so important to allow yourself to have a good relationship with food.
Another huge takeaway was from Massy Arias, Kelly’s trainer. She spoke about the fact that it is so important to be regimented. When we are regimented it means we have a plan. Be realistic with your plan and be proactive with your plan especially when you are traveling. When traveling it is so imprtant to search out the healthy spots before you arrive so you can maintain your healthy lifestyle. Her biggest question was…what’s stopping you?
Two of my new favorite at home exercises I shared in this video are the bear crawls and downward dog with shoulder touches. I love that the bear crawls take a plank and give it a little something extra. I didnt realize how difficult doing bear crawls or shoulder touches would be for 30 seconds at a time. I also loved that doing shoulder touches while doing downward dog is working on flexibility while building strength in both the upper body and core.
