“Always be yourself unless you can be Batman” –@legobatmanmovie
Personally I’m going with being Bat Girl. I mean Batman is cool and all but you all know that BatGirl is pretty much the reigning super hero for girls these days. She has all sorts of cool powers but still has a little bit of femininity and sass to her. I am a HUGE fan and loved that Rosario Dawson was the voice of her.
Yesterday I had a blast interviewing the cast and crew of the brand new Lego Batman Movie (out Feb 10th). Some of my fave interviews included “Batman” Will Arnett @arnettwill, “Robin” Michael Cera, “Batgirl” Rosario Dawson @rosariodawson, “Commissioner Gordon” Hector Elizondo, Producer Brad Lewis, Director Dan Lin, YouTuber @ijustine, the adorable @asiamonetray, @itsjojosiwa and so many more!
What I love about Lego Batman is that is takes a little bit from all my favorite Batman movies and makes it super kid friendly yet wildly entertaining for adults too. Like always there are big changes going on in Gotham, but if Batman (Will Arnett) wants to save the city from the Joker’s hostile takeover, he may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. The relationship Batman and Robin have in this movie is out of this world. Will Arnett delivers some of the best lines I have ever heard. I have no clue how he even said some of them without cracking up…must find outtakes. One of the Producers Brad Lewis said that he loved working with Will Arnett and that quite possibly they could have an entire additional movie with just he outtakes and tangents. I will be there Brad! I had so much fun chatting with the cast and crew of Lego Batman.
Side note, the pre-premiere party was off the hook. Food trucks with everything from burgers to pizza were available. Giant stations to fill your candy bags, little black lunch boxes to decorate and fill with legos and off course the McDonalds collaboration on Batman masks. We had a blast. Thank you Warner Brothers!
This movie will have you and your kiddos dying of laughter! A must watch come Feb 10th
