“Don’t let fear stop you from doing the things you love.” – Buster Moon in SING
SING is one of my favorite quotes of the movie. I always have to remember this…the only way to succeed in life is if we try. Here’s to a week full of trying without fear of failure, but knowing that if I do fail…I’m just one step closer to success.
If you missed seeing SING in theaters, SING is out on DVD and BluRay March 21st! Officially one of the best days of my movie watching life. I watch a TON of kid-friendly movies and this one is a definite must see a couple dozen times. I am officially addicted to the sweet nature of the film and soundtrack. The film has more than 85 classic songs from famous artists and also has an original song by Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande called “Faith”. Not to mention that Tori Kelly delivers some killer songs during this movie like Hallelujah and Don’t You Worry About a Thing
This is the first movie that there were NO really scary parts for kids. We have seen this movie close to half a dozen times and we are still giggling the whole movie. It has such clean comedic writing and seems appropriate for all ages in my opinion.
Now, when I got this SING party pack in the mail, my goal was to pop in the DVD and take some much needed “ME” time. As a mom, it can be tough to come by..so sometimes, a little movie watching gives me a little time to rest and relax. Although seeing what Rosita (voiced by Reese Witherspoon) makes possible as a hands-on mom of 25 piglets, I probably shouldn’t be complaining. Nonetheless, I lit my candle, poured myself a glass of bubbly (sparkling water for me, but its fun to feel fancier by calling it bubbly since its sparkling, right?) and put on my wireless headphones. I was about to pop on a non-kid friendly show. I was about 5 minutes in when I couldn’t help myself…I took off the headphone and joined my little and then within a few minutes the hubby sat down too. You just can’t help yourself with SING. Its just so good! Clearly we are SUPER FANS but all for good reason!
Per Wikipedia: It was directed and written by Garth Jennings and co-directed by Christophe Lourdelet. The film stars the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Tori Kelly, Taron Egerton, and Nick Kroll.
