On September 17th, downtown Westwood was re-created into a full Storks themed Blue Carpet and After Party all for the World Premiere of the Movie.
The Blue Carpet was HUGE and totally STAR STUDDED yet completely adorable with the Storks characters everywhere. So much press was there that photographers were on one side of the carpet and media on the other. Prior to the celebrities making their way down the carpet, Cinnabon brought everyone mini cinnamon rolls. Excitement was buzzing and then the excitement started with the entrance of Storks characters Tulip (Katie Crown), Pigeon Toady (comedian Stephen Kramer Glickman) and Junior (Adam Samburg), the press went crazy!
Then the chaotic wonderfulness of the Red (or Blue) Carpet began. I talked to stars like Stephen Kramer Glickman who shared that this was his first feature movie (he was hilarious in the movie), Danny Trejo (he mentioned that I must try Trejo’s Tacos which I did the next day and they were FABULOUS), Greer Grammar (Kelsey Grammar’s daughter) and one of my favorites the Producer of Storks Brad Lewis and his daughter. One of my favorite parts about the red carpet was all of the celebrities talking about FINDING THEIR FLOCK.
One of the highlights of course was seeing Jennifer Aniston, who has not aged in the last decade. She was glowing in a Valentino fit and flare dress. I seriously need to find out where she buys her fountain of youth..
After we were done melting in the 95 degree direct sun, we headed into the cool and decadent Regency Theater to watch the Storks, a Warner Brothers movie. While I wont say too much, it was very cute for both kids and adults. I have had my fair share of movies that are not appropriate for kids around 5 and if they are they are not appealing to me. My little guy was giggling every 5 minutes and quite honestly so was I. Great themes of the importance of parents spending quality time with their kids, creating time in the day to spend with your kids without technology or work, love and importance of finding your flock whoever and whatever it might be.
Post movie, we headed back out to where the blue carpet had been held, but it had been transformed into an amazing after party all Storks movie themed. There was a CornerStore Candy Bar, truly delectable food trucks including my little guy’s fave In N Out, aduly beverages (yes please!), cotton candy machines, carpet slides, trampolines, out of this world ballon artists, face painting, airbrush tattoos, coloring, skee ball and so much more. We had so much fun we didn’t to leave. Warner Brothers certainly knows how to throw a party!
We give STORKS…2 THUMBS UP!
GO SEE IT ON SEPTEMBER 23rd!
