Quick, Simple, Less Than An Hour Makeover

I recently went to a Pop Your Shop event at the Ken Paves Salon in West Hollywood. Yes, I said it…THE KEN PAVES SALON! Celebrity Hair Stylist, KEN PAVES!

Was it amazing? Yes!

Was it everything I dreamed of? Yes and more!

Funny enough, I left the house with my hair and makeup done and headed to the event. The invite did say that it was a beauty pop up shop, but I still wanted to go there being ready. I really did not think I would come out feeling or looking much different…I was in for a surprise.

I think the part that was MOST surprising to me was that it was SO SIMPLE AND EASY to feel renewed about my look and to give me a much needed pep in my step. Here are my top picks for a quick makeover. You can do them at home or head to your local salon:

  • CHANGE YOUR HAIR PART-I went from parting my hair on the side to a center part. You can easily to the opposite and go from a center part to a side part. Any way you do it will make you feel fresh and shape your face differently
  • CLEAN UP YOUR EYEBROWS-Eyebrows shape your face, so cleaning up your brow line is HUGE. I always like a good, quick threading but waxing or tweezers will give you a nice clean, fresh arch that will look like perfection after filling them in and throwing on some clear mascara so they stay in place
  • ADD SOME LASHES-Eyelashes make me feel so girly and fun, plus they open your eyes in a way that no mascara can totally emulate. I love popping them on for a night out or for an event. Go ahead indulge yourself. I like installing them myself as I rub my eyes a lot and sweat, so permanent lash extensions do not work for me. They are awesome, waking up looking bright eyed and bushey tailed gets a whole new meaning.
  • CHANGE UP YOUR LIPSTICK: If you wear nudes, try a pop of red or pink. If you normally do red or pink, try nudes or a light gloss.

These are SIMPLE, EASY, QUICK and very inexpensive ways to feel like a whole new you. Although I was treated to an afternoon of pampering,  I have been inspired to play around with my look a little more. Thank you to Harmonie Kreiger of Pop Your Shop for such a fun afternoon!
