Ok, I am actually going to share my go-to, eat as much as you want (for the most part) detox salad that is a pot-luck fave and seriously only takes 5 minutes to chop and toss. Yes, I realize there are no exact amounts…you will come to realize I like to eyeball cook as I call it. Depending on the day or the activity, I add more or less of things
What you need:
Organic Spinach Chopped
Fresh tomatoes Diced
Avocado Diced
Pinch of Toasted Flax Seeds
2 Steamed Beets Chopped
Cucumbers Chopped
Sweet Mini Peppers Diced
*Fresh White Corn if in season
Cilantro Finely Cut
One Juicy Lime
Liquid Aminos
Pepper
Sesame Oil
Rice Vinager
One BIG Salad Bowl
Here is what you do:
Toss in all of the chopped and diced veggies into a bowl. Give it quick mix together. Now lets add the good stuff, the dressing. Get out an extra small bowl. This part is a little tricky because it will all be to your specific tastes. Do not be afraid to get a little taste along to way to see what you want to add more of
Squeeze every last drop out of your lime into the little bowl
Add a few quick sprinkles of pepper
Add in the rice vinegar…I am fairly generous with it
Then same with the liquid aminos ( I use this rather than a soy sauce or Tamari because it is naturally gluten free, lower in sodium and has the essential amino acids I need to ingest because I mostly eat vegan)
Go slow with the sesame oil because it is rich in calories and taste…a little goes a long way
Final Step: Pour your dressing onto to your salad and toss in your flax seeds and
VOILA! DETOX SALAD MADE!
