As you know Ada Twist Scientist is one of the hottest kids shows on Netflix for good reason. I love seeing the diversity on screen first off and I love that this show is about a young girl who is a scientist. I love that this is encouraging and normalizing seeing young girls in STEM. Very cool! There is also nothing more fun than dressing up as your favorite character and doing a fun experiment that will blow your kids mind in minutes.

Yup! The costume is that simple and everyone will know who you are dressing up as. Now for the fun part after you get in character…the science experiment.
What You Need:
Butterfly Pea Flower Tea
Hot Water
Lemon
Beaker or Clear Glass
How to Do The Experiment:
- Steep the Butterfly Pea Flower Tea for a few minutes. Once it has a nice dark blue/teal color let it cool
- Pour water into beaker
- Slice your Lemon
- Squeeze lemon and swirl
This is when the fun part happens…. you will watch the blue/teal turn to purple in front of your very eyes. This is such a showstopper for kids and the fun part is that they can drink it after and it is a wonderful tea plus this is an experiment you can do over and over and over again and it never loses its magic!
