It’s the first day of school over here in Los Angeles! I can’t even believe that summer break flew by so fast! It feels like in a blink of an eye we were just putting away our backpacks for summer and two minutes later we were prepping for Back to School. Since I was holding out on Summer, thankfully Amazon hosted us this past weekend to an awesome day of getting school supplies for the school in style!
We started the day by getting a brand new Jansport backpack (Yup! This one glows in the dark!). It’s fun to think what was cool in my day, Jansport backpacks, is still in style today. I may have to take this up with my mom who said there was no need to keep my college backpack because it wouldn’t be in style when I had kids one day…nope! Wrong…LOL!
We took our backpacks to get an embroidered patch and then had so much fun filling it with the latest gel pens, pencils, markers, notebooks, sticky notes, binders and more! It also made me realize that I could literally Amazon Prime all my school supplies…GENIUS! Not to mention we got a super cute Cubcoat, a Whole Foods Bento Box making class, DIYed a pair of Vans, filled our bellies with Peekaboo Ice Cream and met Ciara!
More than anything I loved learning about the Give Back component to Amazon’s Back to School initiative this year. You can literally tell Alexa to “Donate to Happy School Year” which is a super easy way to give to a kid in need. How easy and fun is that. By telling Alexa to donate, you will be giving a child a backpack full of school supplies in your local area. I love it! Just another reason to love Amazon for me!
