We happened to go to Santa Barbara for Labor Day Weekend and had no plans other than hanging out with family. The first order of business when driving in to Santa Barbara is hitting State Street. We did a little shopping, a little dining and a little walking. While walking, we came across a sign that said “SALT.” A Salt store? I was intrigued. There were steps lined with GIANT Himalayan Sea Salt Lamps. A sign that said “Kids Play” $5. Yes please to the Himalayan Salt Cave
Kids Play in a Salt Cave? I was confused yet this idea did not leave my mind all weekend. I decided to google “salt cave” and figure out if there were benefits. All I knew was that Himalayan Salt Lamps were natural air purifiers. So here is some information I found.

I love natural medicine, so I was game. I reserved 4 spots for the Kids Play. You walk into an amazing and zen salt store and then there are 2 gorgeous archways you walk through. Words do not do this place justice, so you must look at the pictures. Once you enter the Salt Cave, salt lines the floor, walls and ceiling. Blankets are available but it temperature controlled at 72 degrees and Halotherapy is used for maximum salt air benefits. Anti-Gravity chairs are available to sit in while watching your kiddo play in Himalayan Sea Salt. It was amazing! When we left, we felt centered, fresh and relaxed. I cant wait to try massage therapy, a yoga class and reiki healing.

Next time, I am DEFINITELY going to try a spa treatment, as they are done in salt cave as well.
This is a MUST DO when in Santa Barbara. I can’t wait to find one closer to me in LA!
