November 20th at the Globe Theater at Universal Studios, my little family and I went to kick off the holidays with the Sprout Network.
The Sprout Network houses some of our most favorite shows like the Chica Show, Dot, Bernstein Bears, Space Racers and Nina’s World. There are so many shows but those are truly some of my little guy’s faves. While the aim is for pre-school aged kids, I think that the show content is great for kids slightly older as well. I also love there are games online for the kiddos to play that are stay in the themes of the individual shows.
We were treated to crafts galore, a performance by Carly Ciarrocchi, Tim Kubart and Chica herself as well as an indoor ice skating rink and amazing food and drinks. It was certainly a good afternoon before Thanksgiving to kick off the holiday cheer.
For the holidays, the Sprout Network released holiday themed shows/movies of some of their most popular shows:
Terrific Trucks Save Christmas: The Terrific Trucks are handed their biggest job yet! A bullish businessman has declared he will ruin Christmas by preventing the local town’s hundred-year-old Christmas tree raising tradition.
Ruff Ruff Tweet and Daves Christmas Adventure:Â Ruff-Ruff, Tweet and Dave find Santa’s hat and set off to return it to him, to save Christmas Day.
Nina’s Hanukkah Adventure:Â A major snow storm is about to hit the city for the first time ever and it’s also the first night of Hanukkah!
Dot and the Holiday Tree:Â Dot is horrified to discover she’s accidentally gotten rid of all the decorations for the town tree; she works round the clock to make new ones and discovers the joy that comes with giving and sharing.
Thank you to the Sprout Network and Universal Studios for an amazing afternoon. This programming will be a lifesaver for the holidays. Quality kids programming without having to worry about age appropriateness.
