So after about 8 months of no blogging…I’m Back! Life has been crazy, fun, and well…life. One of the main reasons, I feel like I am getting my blogging self back on-line is because of recent conference I went to…Mom 2.0 Summit hosted at the ever-amazing Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. It was FABULOUS to say the least. While there were over 500 fabulous women to meet, I met maybe around 100. Women from all over the US and Canada with interesting businesses, blogs and personalities. It feels much like going to a Miss America pageant….so many amazing women who are supportive, encouraging and inspiring. Post event, it feels like a sisterhood of women that you can turn to at a moments notice and you know will be so excited to meet up with you if you happen to be in their home town. Some of the highlights of Mom 2.0 include:
- Meeting Lisa Ling and sitting in the front row listening to her speak about becoming a mom and girl’s image issues
- Being educated on various topics like working with companies on your blog, when/can/how you can monetize your blog posts, media training, etc
- Being able to pitch an on-going contribution to HLN’s current event show with a parenting emphasis “Raising America” with the beautiful Kyra Philips
- Creating friendships
So now that I have come down from the emotional high of Mom 2.0…I feel reinvigorated to get this blog going again with new ideas, twists and energy….LOTS more blog posts to come!
