August 21st, I headed over to the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills for the launch of the new Karina Smirnoff collection for LA Splash Cosmetics. As a huge Dancing with the Stars fan, I was pretty excited to get an inside peek into what type of makeup one would wear to look flawless after intense tangos and cha chas. Karina Smirnoff was as lovely as one would imagine and was so excited to share her line with the world. There were three main pieces:
- Super high pigment liquid lipstick which is matte (so on trend) in a variety of colors. It is smudge-proof and lasts for hours
- A slim liquid eyeliner that is waterproof that stays on all day and night. a girlfriend tried it and literally says you can wear without smudging or peeling off for days. We love that it is quick-dry and does not feather
- A mascara that is smudge proof…always a FAN! This mascara was designed to make lashes look thicker and bolder
During the press preview we were treated to manicures by the Nail Garden, Peroni Beers, makeup touches with Karina’s new line and a lipstick reader. And no, I won’t tell you what the lipstick reader said except that if you believe it can happen..it will likely happen. Sometimes I get in my own way when it comes to my dreams coming true.
