It seems like I have been hearing about Music Together for years. So one day, prior to having my little man, I checked out the website. It all sounded really good. After all, their mission is to to help families, caregivers, and early childhood professionals rediscover the pleasure and educational value of informal music experiences in the context of daily life. The focus of the classes is to simply engage children in music and really stress that their is no wrong or right way of being a part of music class. Fabulous! Note to self: Keep music class information tucked away in pregnancy brain.
So here I am one day, a couple years later with a 18 month old searching around the internet for a good music class. Why you might ask? Both my husband and I love music and really want our little dude to have a love for music as well. So I typed in Music Together in the Tri Valley area of the East Bay. Read over the website again and then got to the “tuition” portion. Holy smokes! The 10 week sessions cost $245. What?!?! That could not be right…this was a class for babies and toddlers…how truly enriching could a music class be??? Overwhelmed by the cost, I never thought I would ever go to a Music Together class EVER…until one faithful day….Stay Tuned for Part 2!
