June 23rd, The ever fabulous Dawn McCoy hosted an amazing group of women, myself included, at Estrella in West Hollywood to learn about USANA MySmart Foods Line. MySmart Foods is a new, low-glycemic load and gluten-free line of protein shakes and bars.
There was a full fruit, veggie, nut and seed bar that we were able to make our own shake concoctions with. First you chose the fruit/veggie/nut/seeds, then you added in whey or plant based protein powder (plant based for me-USANA’s is pea and potato protein), add in your milk choice and then top it off with a flavor optimizer (Dark Chocolate, Cappuccino, Peach Mango, Banana, Orange Cream) or you can stick with the vanilla base that comes with the protein powder. What I loved was there was no sugary or stevia taste to the shake.
I am a shake lover, so I loved what I made plus it kept me from eating snacks. My blend was Yvette Masterson of Y Communications & Consulting’s Fave:

- Coconut and Almond Milk
