“United we stand. Equality for All”
Today we came together as women, as mothers and as people to show our commitment to equality. 🌈
As a women, going to the march was an easy choice for me. One of the most poignant parts of the day for me was the passion my husband has for women to be treated equally and with respect. It was really important to him to take our son to the march to show him the importance of being vocal to things that are important to him. It is one of the most beautiful parts of being an American…the notion that you are free to express yourself.
It’s important that we, women, unite together to fight for our rights and true equality, but we can’t do it alone. It takes the men in our lives to do the same. I feel so incredibly blessed to be married to a man that believes that men and women are equals and is willing to voice that opinion publicly. We are committed to raising a son that believes in these same value that we are all equal and should be treated like such.
Being a part of millions of people around the world, and one of 750,000 in LA who rallied for equality and women’s rights today was an incredible experience. One we will never forget. I texted to say I was a part of the count and I am even more excited about Part 2 of the Women’s March. ❤❤❤
Thank you for inspiring me Ryan and Ari!
